Read Alouds with a difference

Storytime or as we are calling it now Read Aloud time happens frequently throughout the day. I love reading great books, that I own or that the children and  I have borrowed from our school library. Sometimes, the children choose to hear a story read online from a guest reader; storyline online or tumblebooks.

Today they listened to a story read by an astronaut from SPACE!

Read an article about it;

or better still go and listen to more stories together;

Happy Reading
And a great article on the importance of reading to your child.

Our new eating space

We have moved to our new lunch space.
We really like some things about it:

  • There is air-conditioning- so it's cool and it feels good.
  • It is all fresh and new.
  • The chairs are comfortable and a good size.
  • The tables are the right size.
  • When people to line up to choose the food, you can see it.
  • We have sinks to wash our hands.
  • The cafeteria is near, we don't have to walk far.
  • It is inside.

There are other things though that we don't think are so great...
We're discussing solutions to these issues at the moment and sometimes change is challenging and these perceived problems may iron themselves out in due course as we get used to our new space.

Don't forget...
If your child has home lunch, it needs to be delivered to our new eating area!
